LCC Youth Desk Commences Two Days Women Empowerment Workshop in Arts and Crafts

The Liberia Council of Churches Youth Desk through its Female Empowerment Committee have commenced a two days women empowerment workshop in arts and crafts.
The Arts and Crafts training workshop will focus on training young women of members group of the LCC Youth Desk on how to make and design beas, earrings, slippers, tye and dye shirts including lecture series. 

Speaking at the opening session of the workshop at the secretariat of the LCC, the chairperson on the Female Empowerment Committee of the LCC Youth Desk Miss Boyonoh Cloh of the Zion Youth Ministry welcomed and encouraged participants to pay keen attention to all that will be taught at the workshop for the next two days. She cautioned that the knowledge acquired should not be wasted but instead used to impact the lives of young women and girls.

The Chairman of the LCC Youth Desk Mr. Jerome J. Jallah underscore the need of the workshop as pivotal to the lives of young women as he firmly believes that it will help identify and built on the talent of young women and significantly add to not only acquiring the gospel in their individual churches but addressing their physical needs through arts and crafts.

Chairman Jallah revealed that the training will not be limited to the 19 members groups invited to participate as plans are underway to decentralize the arts and crafts workshop to all the 15 political sub-divisions that has the presence of the Liberia Council of Churches.
